प्रवाह केवल एक प्रदर्शनी नहीं है; यह जीवन की निरंतर गतिशीलता का उत्सव है। जीवन कभी स्थिर नहीं होता। वह समय, भावनाओं, अनुभवों, स्मृतियों, सपनों और परिवर्तनों के बीच निरंतर गतिमान रहता है। जो हम देखते हैं और जो हम महसूस करते हैं, जो बीत चुका है और जिसकी हम कल्पना करते हैं, यथार्थ और स्वप्न, स्मृति और भविष्य—इन सभी के बीच एक सतत प्रवाह बना रहता है। प्रवाह में शामिल कलाकार अस्तित्व की इसी निरंतर गति और परिवर्तन को अपनी-अपनी दृष्टि और संवेदना के माध्यम से अनुभव करते और अभिव्यक्त करते हैं।
पंकज निगम द्वारा क्यूरेट की गई समूह प्रदर्शनी, “प्रवाह – जीवन के प्रवाह का उत्सव” में पेंटर्स, मूर्तिकारों और फ़ोटोग्राफ़र्स की अभिव्यक्तियाँ माध्यमों और शैली की भिन्नता के बावजूद जीवन के जिस सतत प्रवाह को उजागर करती हैं, वह कलात्मक खोज की भावना को सामने लाती हैं। इस प्रदर्शनी में आदर्श मिश्रा, खुशबू शर्मा, प्रांजलि चौधरी, दीपक, पारुल कुमार, मनोजकुमार एम. सकाले, आनंदा गुप्ता, सौरभ मजूमदार, अजब सिंह, सोनिया सरीन, संजीव कुमार सिन्हा, विनय कुमार, समीर मजूमदार, डिंपल चावला डांग, विकास बैजल, स्मिता घोष दत्ता, अजय रावत, डॉ. गुरदीप नागर, शीमिता वात्स्यायन, बसु कुमार, सेबी ऑगस्टीन, विनय विक्रम सिंह, जयंती बनर्जी, ज़ैद और पंकज निगम की रचनाएँ शामिल हैं। 4 से 10 सितंबर 2026 तक नई दिल्ली की आईफैक्स की गैलरियों में इस प्रदर्शनी का आयोजन किया गया है।
चित्रकला, फोटोग्राफी और मूर्तिकला के माध्यम से कलाकार जीवन के विभिन्न अनुभवों को दृश्य रूप प्रदान करते हैं। प्रत्येक कलाकृति एक क्षण को अपने भीतर थामे हुए है—कभी वह क्षण व्यक्तिगत और अंतरंग है, तो कभी सामाजिक और सामूहिक। लेकिन उस ठहरे हुए क्षण के भीतर भी गति की एक अनुभूति मौजूद है। कोई रेखा, कोई रंग, कोई मुद्रा, कोई छाया, कोई बनावट या कोई आकार हमें उस दृश्य से आगे ले जाता है और उसके पीछे छिपी किसी कहानी, भावना या अनुभव का संकेत देता है। इस तरह एक स्थिर चित्र एक व्यापक और निरंतर अनुभव का द्वार बन जाता है।
प्रवाह में प्रस्तुत कलाकृतियाँ मानवीय अनुभवों की अनेक परतों से होकर गुजरती हैं। वे यथार्थ से जन्म लेती हैं, लेकिन आशा, स्मृति, आकांक्षा और कल्पना की ओर भी प्रवाहित होती हैं। कुछ रचनाएँ हमारे आसपास की दुनिया को उसके वास्तविक रूप में देखती हैं, तो कुछ उसे स्वप्न, संवेदना और व्यक्तिगत दृष्टि के माध्यम से पुनः रचती हैं। यही विविधता इस प्रदर्शनी का मूल है—जीवन को देखने और समझने का कोई एक तरीका नहीं है। प्रत्येक कलाकार अपने अनुभव, अपनी दृष्टि और अपनी संवेदना से एक अलग संसार रचता है।
‘प्रवाह’ केवल गति का ही नहीं, बल्कि समय के बहने का भी प्रतीक है। हम हर क्षण बदल रहे हैं और निरंतर कुछ नया बन रहे हैं। जिन क्षणों को हम जीते हैं, वे उसी क्षण बीत भी जाते हैं। स्मृतियाँ समय के साथ अपना रूप बदलती हैं, स्थान बदलते हैं, संबंध बदलते हैं और स्वयं को देखने तथा समझने का हमारा तरीका भी बदलता रहता है। कला में इन क्षणभंगुर अनुभवों को थाम लेने की एक अद्भुत क्षमता है। वह उन अनुभवों को एक रूप देती है, जो अन्यथा समय के साथ हमारी दृष्टि से ओझल हो सकते थे।
एक फोटोग्राफ़ एक क्षण के अंश को स्थिर कर देता है। एक चित्र किसी अनुभव या दृष्टि के क्षण को अपने भीतर संजो लेता है। एक मूर्ति किसी विचार, भावना या अनुभव को भौतिक उपस्थिति प्रदान करती है। ये सभी माध्यम देखने में स्थिर हैं, लेकिन इनके भीतर गति विद्यमान है। वे हमें याद दिलाते हैं कि स्थिरता और गति एक-दूसरे के विरोधी नहीं हैं। एक ठहरा हुआ क्षण भी अपने भीतर गति की स्मृति रख सकता है, और एक छोटा-सा क्षण अपने भीतर पूरी यात्रा को समेट सकता है।
प्रवाह में कलाकार इसी निरंतर गति को व्यक्त करने के लिए अपनी-अपनी दृश्य भाषाएँ रचते हैं। कोई रंग और रेखा के माध्यम से संवाद करता है, कोई प्रकाश और छाया के माध्यम से, कोई आकार और स्थान के माध्यम से, तो कोई दृश्य और अदृश्य, यथार्थ और कल्पना के बीच के संबंधों को तलाशता है। इन सभी रचनाओं को साथ रखकर देखने पर अनुभवों का एक विस्तृत परिदृश्य निर्मित होता है—जहाँ प्रत्येक कलाकृति जीवन की विशाल धारा में एक अलग क्षण की तरह दिखाई देती है।
यह प्रदर्शनी दर्शक को केवल कलाकृतियों को देखने के लिए आमंत्रित नहीं करती, बल्कि उन्हें अनुभव करने के लिए आमंत्रित करती है। किसी चित्र के सामने ठहरना, किसी रंग में अपना कोई भाव पहचान लेना, किसी छवि में कोई पुरानी स्मृति खोज लेना या किसी रूप में कुछ अनपेक्षित देख लेना—ये सभी अनुभव कला के साथ हमारे संबंध को गहरा करते हैं। इस प्रक्रिया में दर्शक भी इस प्रवाह का हिस्सा बन जाता है। अर्थ स्थिर नहीं रहता; वह हर व्यक्ति के अनुभव, स्मृति, संवेदना और दृष्टि के साथ बदलता रहता है।
प्रवाह उन क्षणों की यात्रा है जो एक साथ क्षणभंगुर भी हैं और स्थायी भी। यह अस्तित्व की उस लय के बारे में है जिसमें अनिश्चितता से संभावना की ओर, अनुभव से स्मृति की ओर, यथार्थ से कल्पना की ओर और परिचित से अपरिचित की ओर निरंतर गति बनी रहती है।
कलाकृतियाँ भले ही स्थिर हों, लेकिन उनके भीतर का जीवन निरंतर गतिमान है।
प्रवाह वही गति है।
प्रवाह वही यात्रा है।
प्रवाह जीवन स्वयं है—जो निरंतर बहता रहता है।
Pravah is not just an exhibition; it is a celebration of the continuous movement of life. Curated by Pankaj Nigam, “PRAVAH – Celebrating the Flow of Life” is a vibrant group art exhibition that brings together the dynamic works of painters, sculptors, and photographers. This exhibition stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of artistic expression, showcasing the talents of these artists who have honed their crafts through years of persistence and dedication. This exhibition opened at the AIFACS Gallery in New Delhi on September 4, 2026, and will remain open to visitors until September 10.
Participating artists are Adarsh Mishra, Khushboo Sharma, Pranjali Chaudhary, Deepak, Parul Kumar, Manojkumar M. Sakale, Ananda Gupta, Sourabh Mazumdar, Ajab Singh, Sonia Sareen, Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Binay Kumar, Samir Mozumdar, Dimple Chawla Dang, Vikas Baijal, Smita Ghosh Dutta, Ajay Rawat, Dr. Gurdeep Nagar, Sheemita Vatsyayan, Basu Kumar, Seby Augustine, Vinay Vikram Singh, Jayanti Banerji, Jaid and Pankaj Nigam.
Concept of the exhibition suggests that life is never still. It moves through time, emotions, experiences, memories, dreams, and transformations. There is a constant flow between what we see and what we feel, between reality and imagination, between the past we carry and the future we envision. Pravah brings together artists who engage with this ever-changing movement of existence in their own individual ways.
Through painting, photography, and sculpture, the artists translate different experiences of life into visual forms. Each artwork captures a moment—sometimes intimate and personal, sometimes social and collective. Yet within that moment there is always a sense of movement. A gesture, a line, a shadow, a texture, a colour, or a changing form can suggest something beyond what is immediately visible. The still image becomes a doorway into a larger, on-going experience.
The works in Pravah move across a spectrum of human experience. They emerge from reality, but also travel towards hope, memory, desire, and imagination. Some works may reflect the world as it is, while others reinterpret it through dreams, emotions, and personal perceptions. In this diversity lies the essence of the exhibition: there is no single way of experiencing or understanding life. Every artist observes, responds, and creates from a different point of view.
The word Pravah—meaning flow—also speaks of the passage of time. We are constantly becoming something new. Moments disappear even as they are experienced; memories transform as we carry them; places change; relationships evolve; and our understanding of ourselves continues to shift. Art has the unique ability to hold these fleeting moments, giving form to experiences that might otherwise pass unnoticed.
A photograph freezes a fraction of a second, a painting holds a moment of perception, and a sculpture gives physical presence to an idea or emotion. These forms appear still, yet they contain movement. They remind us that stillness and movement are not opposites. Stillness can hold the memory of movement, just as a single moment can contain an entire journey.
In Pravah, the artists create their own languages to express this continuous flow. Some works may speak through colour and gesture, others through light and shadow, form and space, or through the relationship between the visible and the imagined. Together, they create a varied landscape of experiences—each work a moment within a larger river of life.
The exhibition invites the viewer not simply to look at the artworks, but to experience them. To pause before an image, to notice a feeling, to recognise a memory, or to discover something unexpected. The viewer, too, becomes part of the flow. Meaning is not fixed; it changes with every encounter, every memory, and every individual interpretation.
Pravah is therefore a journey through moments that are at once fleeting and enduring. It is about the rhythm of existence—the movement from uncertainty to possibility, from experience to memory, from reality to imagination, and from the known towards the unknown.
The artworks may be still, but the life within them continues to move.
Pravah is that movement.
Pravah is that journey.
Pravah is life itself, always flowing.
