Pankaj Sachdeva’s Solo Show Eternal Echoes

A solo exhibition by Pankaj Sachdeva is currently underway at the AIFACS gallery in New Delhi. Pankaj is among those artists who create works based on myths and religious narratives, yet his paintings never resemble mere illustrations or comic-strip storytelling.

In this exhibition, titled Eternal Echoes, he employs abstraction in most of the works, though a few do feature distinct forms; some paintings incorporate symbols from Tantric art. The colour composition and the spatial division within these oil-on-canvas paintings are striking. His themes include Shiva-Shakti, Krishna, Bulleh Shah, and others; he has also produced a significant body of work inspired by Sikhism. The exhibition runs until September 24.
